The Internet has made an enormous impact on the daily lives of people worldwide. It has changed the way many of us communicate, learn and play. The technological advancement had done much good for mankind, billions of people are in-touch with each other and are benefited. It won't fit in this hub all the good things the internet is giving us if I will mention all of them. However, like everything else, internet has also its negative effect on humans. "Parents will always be parents" as many older people say. They want nothing but the best for their children, they will do everything in their power to protect their children from harm. Find a place in your house where everyone can see it, not in the room. Doing this will remind the user to be careful with the sites he/she will be browsing because he/she knows someone is watching. If you yourself don’t know how to use computer and the internet, ask your child(ren) to teach you. This will create a bonding moment.

Use a family photo or a picture of you if you are a mother, a religious symbol or a picture of Christ for Christians. This will give the user clean thoughts before browsing.

Doing this will give you an instant access to your favorite sites without needing to browse again and avoiding coming across with bad sites. To do this; click Bookmarks at the top of your screen and select Add Bookmark.

This is to make sure the sites being visited by any users are safe for your children and to avoid bad sites that always have pop-ups. You do this by selecting History at the top of your screen and clicking on Show History.

There are just sites that are desperate to creep into your browsing that they just appear from nowhere. What internet filter does is that it prevents these kinds of sites from appearing in the middle of your browsing.
